InkBridge runs entirely in user space on both ends. The iPad captures every Pencil sample with native UIKit; the Mac synthesises real tabletPoint CGEvents that downstream apps can't tell from a Wacom.

Both transports carry the same 24-byte event frames. USB takes priority when plugged in (lower jitter). Wireless is held warm as a fallback so unplugging the cable mid-stroke doesn't drop a single sample.

Almost certainly yes. The matrix below is what InkBridge targets. Only iPad mini 7 and Apple Pencil Pro on a Mac mini M4 have been hardware-tested so far — everything else is on-paper supported until the public beta lands.
